Hi mickh, Welcome to Grace.
Hi mickh,
Welcome to Grace. A big Congratulations on 5 years cancer-free my husband is 8 years. I read a lot about people who have had cancer and feel they are back to normal. I've never had cancer but my husband and niece have and they have significant lasting effects. Most of their's are more obvious issues than the lasting effects of chemo but I have to believe that the toxicity of chemo drugs can have lasting issues.
I hope someone with more personal experience can add something here.
All the best,
Janine
I joined GRACE as a caregiver for my husband who had a Pancoast tumor, NSCLC stage III in 2009. He had curative chemo/rads then it was believed he had a recurrence in the spine/oligometastasis that was radiated. He's 10 years out from treatment.
